For over 6 years, the International Studies office has teamed up with the Residence Hall Association to produce the “Taste the World” event during International Week.
“The students in the residence halls get participate and learn about different countries,” said Angie Threatte, the administrator for the Center of International Studies.
Jeff Palis, the administrative coordinator for the Center of International Studies, added, “It has been going on for years. It is a way to bring the world to our students and it is a way for them to get involved in international studies here on campus.”
In addition to serving their fellow students, the different hall councils are also competing for prizes based on their food and presentation. “They can dress up, serve food, and decorate their residence hall according to the country,” said Threatte.
